my work from the
past year or so.
Bio
I am a composer for film, television and concert, who
specialises in bespoke orchestral writing and theme
development.
I was shortlisted for Abbey Road's annual film scoring
award in 2021. I have been lucky enough to have
composed for and worked alongside some of the
Europe’s most eminent contemporary ensembles;
including Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Sixteen
and The Northern Ballet.
Alongside my work in the industry, I am a leading
scholar within the independent school system. Until
2024 I directed Music at the revered and musically
famed Hill House International School.I also held the
positions of Choral Animateur and Orchestra conductor.
Alongside leading Music at Hill House, I also deliver
creative workshops and masterclasses across the South
East.
My approach
I have always been captivated by the intricacies of
suspense and the power of mystery in storytelling. My
approach to crafting compelling and unforgettable
compositions is rooted in my passion for creating intense,
thought-provoking, and immersive experiences that
leave a lasting impact on the audience. I love to use real
manuscript and write for ‘real’ orchestral instruments, as
I have at Abbey Road Air Studios to name a few.
However, I am just as comfortable using sampled
instruments and synths to create my soundscapes.
